  Tri-Graphic is one of the few “print shops” in Ottawa to offer four colour web printing. Our Hantscho 4 unit heat-set press (see Services/Equipment) was originally installed for the process colour book market and its commercial potential is only recently becoming realized. This virtually untapped commercial resource allows us to offer cost efficiencies that clients really need to be made aware of.
Tri-Graphic also has a rare one over one heat-set Timson web press. The unique feature of this remarkable piece of equipment also has its roots in the book market. It uses oversized printing plates that allow us to print 32 page signatures at 8 ½ x 11. Also because of its design, the make-ready between printing forms is well less than five minutes. This allows us efficiencies not only in high quantity work usually associated with a web but with lower quantity, high page count documentation printing. This means that some jobs you may have thought had to be run digitally may be more cost effectively produced on the Timson.
