While most browsers (such as Explorer and Netscape) now offer some FTP functionality, for greater reliability, speed, security and control use an FTP client such as Cyberduck for MacIntosh, available at <http://cyberduck.ch/> or Filezilla for Windows, available at <http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/>. Both are open source software, free for use.
